The platform offers a unique tool to help you track traffic sources.
Called 'affiliate tracking', it allows you to associate leads with people inside and outside of your organization.
It is a feature offered to all plans across the platform.
Add an Affiliate
First, you need to add an Affiliate. To do this:
- Log in to your Account Dashboard.
- Click on 'Affiliates' along the top menu bar.
- Click on 'Add New'.
- Enter the affiliate information (name, email address, and phone number). If you want them to receive a welcome email with a login to their affiliate dashboard, then please check those boxes accordingly. The Affiliate Dashboard allows the affiliate to check to see the names of the people who signed up using their special link for your events, in case they need to follow up with them (sales, etc.)
Create an Affiliate Link
You can create an affiliate after you have created the event. If you have not created the events first, please see these articles first before continuing:
How to Create an Automated Event
Once you have created the event, you can continue.
- Log in to your Account Dashboard.
- Click on 'Affiliates' along the top menu bar.
- Find the name of the Affiliate who needs an affiliate URL generated, and click on 'Generate'.
- Once you have selected the webinar, you can optionally create some additional custom fields (these are optional) to collect additional information - but they are not required.=
- Copy the Promotional URL and provide it to the Affiliate. Now, anyone who registers for the event using that link will be associated with the affiliate.
Affiliate Tracking
Affiliates can log in to their own Affiliate Dashboard, which will allow them to see the leads that were generated using their affiliate links for events. This can be handy for sales and business development applications.
You can see the affiliate associations on the Attendee dashboard.
- Log in to your Account Dashboard.
- Click on 'Attendees'.
- You can select the webinar and/or the affiliate, and the table will update accordingly with the attendees associated with that affiliate.
- You can choose to Export this information by clicking the Export and choosing the format you want it in, or you can click on the attendee's name to expand and see more details.
